RN Critical Care Stepdown UnitNights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.New hourly rates!New Grads are Welcome!Unit DescriptionA 39-bed unit, Critical Care Step Down is committed to providing high quality patient and family centered care for patient populations with various medical conditions including pulmonary, cardiac, neurological disorders, and post-operative care for the surgical patient who requires a higher level of nursing care. CCSU also cares for ventilated tracheostomy patients.All unit staff attends both hospital and nursing orientation and receives unit-specific orientation. Unit and core competencies are completed during the orientation process. The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures.QualificationsAssociates in Nursing RequiredBachelors in Nursing Required within 5 yearsGraduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.MI Registered Nurse (RN) RequiredAHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 daysAHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 monthsSpecialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years1 year of experience as an RN in the ICU Preferred
