Responsibilities of a Regulatory Affairs Manager

• Lead and manage the company's regulatory compliance strategy for existing products and new product development initiatives.
• Review and approve nutrition facts panels, ingredient statements, allergen declarations, and product labels to ensure compliance with federal, state, customer, and company requirements.
• Oversee the creation, maintenance, and approval of product labels, packaging artwork, and marketing claims, including Organic, Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, and other regulated statements.
• Monitor and interpret changing food regulations and communicate impacts to internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate ingredients, formulations, and finished products for regulatory compliance and commercialization readiness.
• Supervise regulatory support personnel and provide guidance, training, and development opportunities.
• Manage product setup and maintenance across customer, distributor, and internal systems.
• Maintain regulatory documentation, specifications, approvals, certifications, and supporting records.
• Coordinate regulatory documentation and compliance activities between Purchasing, R&D, Quality, vendors, and customers.

Qualification of a Regulatory Affairs Manager:

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or a related field required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in food manufacturing, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, or a related technical role.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing food labels, nutrition facts panels, ingredient statements, and regulatory documentation within the food industry.
• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience supervising, mentoring, or leading technical or regulatory personnel.
• Strong knowledge of USDA and FDA regulations, HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and SQF requirements.
• Experience reviewing and approving food labels, packaging artwork, and marketing claims.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience utilizing nutrition analysis software, compliance systems, and ERP platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Monday - Friday - 8AM - 4:30PM

Compensation of a Regulatory Affairs Manager:

$105k - 125k Salary
