Roxborough Memorial Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to support its Senior Behavioral Health Unit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is an excellent opportunity to provide inpatient psychiatric care for older adults within a collaborative, well-supported hospital environment.

The incoming physician will serve as the primary psychiatrist for a 24-bed geriatric behavioral health unit , supported by APPs and telepsychiatry resources.

• Minimal call responsibilities (occasional weekend phone consults only)

Practice Overview

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is part of the Prime Healthcare system and provides comprehensive behavioral health and inpatient medical services to the Philadelphia community. The Senior Behavioral Health Unit focuses on compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care for adults aged 65 and older in a voluntary treatment setting.

The psychiatry team works closely with nursing, case management, social services, and hospital leadership to support quality behavioral healthcare delivery.

What You'll Do

• Provide inpatient psychiatric care for adults aged 65+
• Serve as the primary psychiatrist for the geriatric behavioral health unit
• Manage psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management
• Collaborate with APPs, telepsychiatry providers, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in minimal shared call responsibilities
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

Schedule

Full-Time

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Call

• Occasional weekend phone consults only

What We're Looking For

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Psychiatry
• Interest or experience in geriatric behavioral health preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered inpatient care
