About the Position

Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Occupational Therapist Specialty: FS Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Acute and trauma experience required License: Oklahoma license preferred Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy Description: Under general supervision, performs professional Occupational Therapy activities Consists of planning, evaluating, establishing, and implementing individual and group treatment activities under the direction of a physician Interpret a physician's referral and select an appropriate standardized evaluation procedure Evaluate patient in the following areas: independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, social skills, and various psychosocial skills Interpret the data and develop a treatment plan involving short and long-term goals, frequency, and duration of treatment Assist patient in carrying out these procedures through the design and fabrication of adaptive equipment and orthotic devices, joint protection, and body mechanics Inform patient and family of goals and progress Assist with discharge planning by ordering equipment and instructing patient on home therapy plan May supervise students Performs other duties as assigned
