Make history with us.The Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading and executing food safety and quality systems across the facility to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and company requirements. This role provides direct supervision of the quality team while managing key food safety programs, data systems, and compliance activities. The Quality Supervisor partners with operations, sanitation, and cross-functional teams to drive quality performance, support continuous improvement, and maintain a state of audit readiness across the plant.The position is accountable for oversight of quality systems, testing programs, documentation control, and investigations, ensuring consistent execution of food safety standards and timely resolution of quality issues.Food Safety & Quality Systems LeadershipLead execution of plant food safety and quality programs, including HACCP and SQF systemsManage food safety inspection programs and corrective/preventive action processesEnsure compliance with regulatory, customer, and company standardsDrive continuous improvement of food safety and quality systemsQuality Team LeadershipDirectly supervise QA Technicians and quality team membersProvide coaching, training, and performance managementEnsure consistent execution of inspection, testing, and monitoring activitiesDrive accountability for quality performance and executionDocumentation & Systems ManagementManage quality documentation systems including policies, procedures, and recordsEnsure document control processes including revision, approval, and distributionMaintain and control quality records, data systems, and reportingOversee formula management alignment across plant and system platformsTesting & Microbiological ProgramsManage environmental and product testing programs, including microbiological, chemical, and physical testingEnsure proper sampling, testing, reporting, and trend analysisValidate testing methods and program effectivenessCoordinate corrective actions based on results and identified risksAudits, Inspections & ComplianceLead internal quality and food safety audits and inspectionsSupport external audits including AIB, FDA, and customer auditsEnsure audit findings are addressed through corrective actions and follow-upMaintain plant audit readiness at all timesTraceability & Food DefenseLead plant traceability systems and mock recall programsExecute trace exercises for ingredients, packaging, and finished goodsLead food defense program activities and assessmentsEnsure compliance with food defense and product traceability requirementsIncident Management & Continuous ImprovementLead investigations of non-conforming product and consumer complaintsPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actionsAnalyze trends and drive quality improvement initiativesSupport data collection systems and reporting toolsCommercialization & Cross-Functional SupportSupport new product commercialization from trial through productionPartner with operations, sanitation, and engineering teamsProvide quality input on process changes and new materialsAct as liaison for co-manufacturers and external partners as neededWho you will work with...Reporting into Sanitation ManagerWhat you will bring to the table.. (Nice to Have)Associate's Degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or related fieldBachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field6+ years of experience in food manufacturing, quality systems, or food safety requiredEquivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredSanitation or environmental program experience preferredCompensation and Benefits:The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $69,400-$95,500. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
