Floral Associate

Job Description Posted Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 9:00 AM Summary The Floral Associate position utilizes creativity and basic floral design knowledge to create floral pieces and arrangements for customer purchase. This position provides customer services as well as maintains quality standards to ensure fresh products are properly displayed according to the store standards. Job Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to Assist and greet customers promptly and provide them with great customer service. Create and design floral arrangements and/or other items to fill customer orders in a timely manner. Package orders effectively, safely, and efficiently as to not damage flowers or foliage. Cleans, processes, and cuts flowers and foliage appropriately. Maintain plants, process and prepare flower arrangements. Water plants, and cut, condition, and clean flowers and foliage for storage. Stay updated on current floral design trends and techniques to offer fresh and innovative designs. Provide knowledgeable advice on flower care, maintenance, and arrangement options. Handle customer inquiries, orders, and special requests in a friendly and professional manner. Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality and proper space allocation for merchandise. Assist with merchandising and marketing efforts, including creating attractive in-store displays and signage. Cleans floral area. Other duties as instructed or assigned. Education and/or Experience A high school diploma or equivalent; one to two years of floral experience preferred; strong artistic and creative skills with an eye for detail; knowledge of different types of flowers, plants, and care requirements preferred; experience working in supermarket or grocery environment preferred; or any equivalent combination of formal training and/or experience which provided the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities thereof. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business data and effectively respond to the data. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, customers, employees, or others involved or associated in the warehouse section function. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts relevant to the role such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. General knowledge of basic accounting a plus. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
