SQL Database Administrator (JN -062026-423746) Westlake, Ohio Apply with Indeed Salary: USD90000 - USD155000 per year + + bonus & benefits Title: SQL Database Administrator Location: Westlake, OH (Onsite) Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Compensation: $90,000 – $155,000 (commensurate with experience) Overview We are seeking a results-driven Database Administrator (SQL Server) to support and optimize enterprise database environments in a high-volume production setting. This role will be responsible for ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability across critical systems, with a strong emphasis on performance tuning, query optimization, and high availability. This is a highly visible position where you’ll take ownership of database health and play a key role in supporting business-critical applications. Key Responsibilities Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server environments across multiple production systems Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and configuration improvements Design and maintain database structures, storage strategies, and capacity planning Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, availability, and data integrity Develop and maintain T‑SQL scripts , automation processes, and maintenance jobs Implement and support backup, recovery, and high availability solutions (Always On, clustering, log shipping) Apply database patches, upgrades, and security best practices Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve application performance and scalability Document database configurations, processes, and procedures Required Qualifications 5–10+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server in production environments (level dependent) Strong expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing Advanced proficiency in T‑SQL scripting and SQL Server Agent job automation Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On, failover clustering, log shipping) Hands‑on experience with backup and recovery strategies Strong troubleshooting skills across performance, stability, and data integrity issues Solid understanding of database security and best practicesi?
