Assistant Athletic Trainer

As an Assistant Athletic Trainer, you’ll work under the directionof the Head Athletic Trainer to provide hands-on care focused oninjury prevention, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, andemergency response. In this role, you’ll provide athletic training services throughoutthe year, including coverage for home and away competitions,practices, and athletic events. You’ll assess and treat injuries,provide first aid and emergency care, determine when medicalreferral is needed, and support student-athletes throughoutrehabilitation and recovery. You’ll educate athletes and coaches oninjury prevention and treatment, maintain accurate electronicmedical records and injury documentation, and assist with insuranceprocedures and program administration. You’ll also support athleticcamps and clinics, assist with equipment and supply management, andhelp coordinate first aid coverage for athletic events. We’re looking for an athletic training professional with strongknowledge of injury recognition, treatment, prevention, andrehabilitation. The ideal candidate responds calmly and effectivelyin emergency situations, manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and communicates clearly withstudent-athletes, coaches, healthcare professionals, and others.Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to build productive relationships are essential, alongwith proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic recordkeepingsystems.
