Pharmacist – Compounding Pharmacy

Location: Lake Mary, FL
Salary: $136,000 per year
Job Type: Full-Time

We are recruiting on behalf of an established pharmacy in Lake Mary, Florida seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys a combination of compounding, patient care, pharmacy operations and team leadership . The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the quality and accuracy of compounded medications while supporting and developing the pharmacy technician team.

The position offers a $136,000 annual salary , comprehensive benefits and a stable full-time opportunity within an established pharmacy environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Staff Pharmacist, you will work closely with the Pharmacist in Charge and take responsibility for the day-to-day quality and efficiency of pharmacy operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Oversee and support pharmacy technicians within the department
• Train, develop and monitor pharmacy technician performance
• Ensure compounded preparations meet appropriate standards for quality, strength, purity, packaging and labeling
• Apply a strong working knowledge of USP <795> and USP <800>
• Process and verify prescriptions using pharmacy software
• Counsel patients and communicate with healthcare providers regarding both compounded and traditional medications
• Help manage department workflow to maintain accuracy, quality and productivity
• Support inventory control and supply management
• Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy regulations, standards and good pharmacy practices
• Work closely with the Pharmacist in Charge to maintain high operational and patient-care standards

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you should have:

• An active Florida Pharmacist license
• Knowledge and experience of pharmaceutical compounding
• Strong understanding of USP <795> and USP <800>
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to medication quality and patient safety
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, develop and support pharmacy technicians
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Strong organizational and workflow-management abilities
• A dependable, professional and team-focused approach
• Previous experience within a compounding pharmacy environment would be highly advantageous.
