BTF recruits, trains, mentors, coaches, and places new talent into residential construction careers while connecting employers, training providers, community organizations, and job seekers through JobsToBuild and hands-on workforce support. Position Summary The Junior Project Manager/Job Developer is an execution-focused role responsible for moving BTF's workforce initiatives across Texas, beginning with Houston, from planning through delivery. This person will bring structure, follow-through, and day-to-day coordination to projects involving employers, training providers, community partners, social investors, and BTF staff. The role combines project coordination with job development. It will help translate project commitments into clear plans, cultivate relationships with residential construction employers in Houston and other assigned Texas markets, support candidate-to-employer connections, monitor results, and keep multiple stakeholders aligned around deliverables and deadlines. The position works closely with the Fund Development Manager, VP of Operations, regional leaders, Engagement Managers, and the JobsToBuild team. Key Responsibilities

PROJECT PLANNING AND EXECUTION

Translate partner and funder commitments into clear project plans with deliverables, owners, milestones, dependencies, and deadlines. Maintain project workplans, decision logs, meeting records, risk registers, and status updates for assigned initiatives. Coordinate meetings, follow-up, and cross-functional handoffs; identify delays and risks early, recommend practical solutions, and elevate issues that require leadership decisions.

TEXAS PARTNER AND EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT

Serve as a consistent day-to-day coordination point for BTF's workforce projects across Texas, beginning with Houston. Develop and maintain relationships with residential construction employers, industry partners, training providers, and community-based organizations. Work with employers to clarify hiring needs, job requirements, candidate qualifications, interview processes, and anticipated hiring timelines. Support partner onboarding, employer outreach, hiring events, and other activities that move participants toward employment.

CANDIDATE, PLACEMENT, AND RETENTION COORDINATION

Coordinate with BTF Engagement Managers and JobsToBuild staff to support candidate referrals, interviews, placements, and post-placement follow-up. Help ensure employer opportunities and candidate requirements are documented accurately and communicated consistently across the team. Track participant movement from partner referral through employment and support timely intervention when barriers arise.

DATA, REPORTING, AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Maintain accurate and timely project, partner, employer, and outcome records in Salesforce, JobsToBuild, and other approved systems. Build concise status reports and dashboards that show progress, upcoming milestones, risks, decisions needed, and performance against commitments. Collect and organize documentation needed for partner updates, social investor reporting, project evaluation, and internal learning.

TEXAS PROJECT COORDINATION

Coordinate implementation across BTF's assigned Texas projects, beginning with Houston. Support local partner rollout planning, meeting preparation, stakeholder follow-up, and project activities across Texas. Help standardize tools, timelines, and processes so BTF's Texas projects are executed consistently. Qualifications

REQUIRED

At least two years of relevant experience in project coordination, workforce development, employer engagement, nonprofit programs, industry partnerships, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with consistent follow-through. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with employers, community partners, training providers, and internal leaders. Strong organization, attention to detail, sound judgment, and comfort using CRM, project management, and reporting systems. Residence in greater Houston, ability to travel within Texas as needed, and ability to work independently while staying connected to the broader BTF team.

PREFERRED

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. Experience in residential construction, skilled trades, workforce development, job placement, employer services, or grant-funded initiatives. Familiarity with Houston's workforce and residential construction ecosystem, Salesforce, or regional project coordination across Texas. Performance Metrics Assigned Texas projects have current workplans, clear owners, active timelines, and consistent follow-up. Employers and community partners receive responsive coordination that supports hiring and placement outcomes. Leadership receives accurate visibility into progress, outcomes, risks, and decisions needed, supported by reliable project data.
