Durham Transportation is seeking an experienced and professional OTR Flatbed Truck Driver to join our growing team. We are looking for a motivated driver based out of the Kansas City area who values safety, flexibility, and top-tier compensation. With all-new 2025 or newer equipment, flexible home time, and no forced dispatch, we prioritize our drivers' success and work-life balance. If you have a clean record and solid flatbed experience, we want you to be the next member of our elite driving team.
Compensation & Pay:
- Excellent Earning Potential: Choose your pay! Drive for 30% of the gross revenue or a consistent $0.65 cents per mile (CPM) .
- Guaranteed Weekly Minimum: Never worry about a down week. We guarantee a $1,000 minimum each week.
- $8,000 Sign-On Bonus: Paid out over your first 12 months of employment.
- Tarp Pay: Earn an extra $100 for every load that requires tarping.
- Holiday Pay: Receive $150 for designated holidays.
- Fuel Card & Company Phone Provided: We cover the major expenses to keep you moving.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer (flatbed) combination in compliance with all DOT and company safety regulations.
- Transport and deliver freight over long distances (OTR) in a timely and efficient manner.
- Properly secure and tarp loads as required, ensuring the safety and integrity of the cargo.
- Manage logs and records accurately using an Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your truck and trailer.
- Maintain professional and clear communication with dispatch and customers.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid CDL Class A license.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable flatbed experience is required.
- Minimum of 3 years with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Must be able to pass a DOT drug screen and physical.
- Strong understanding of load securement (strapping, chaining, tarping).
- Reside in or near the Kansas City metropolitan area.
