Forklift Driver

Working as a member of the Receiving Team, the Forklift Driver is an integral part of the process at Barletta. The role is responsible for delivery and pick-up of products, load/unloading trucks, moving and placing materials throughout the facility while following all safety policies and procedures.
Individuals in this role must have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-focused environment, and be able to work in heat, rain, and snow.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a forklift in a safe manner
• Load and unload trucks
• Place materials in proper areas and maintain organization
• Deliver necessary products to all areas of the facility as requested
• Empty hoppers when needed
• Perform daily safety checks and basic preventative maintenance on the forklifts
• Ability to respond quickly to numerous requests in a fast-paced work environment
• Assignments given by supervisor as required
• Support a Barletta Safe culture by adhering to and advocating for the safest behaviors and proactively identifies opportunities to mitigate job-related risks and hazards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have at least 5 years of proven experience driving a forklift
• Must have the ability to perform all physical requirements required of the position, including but not limited to ability to stand, walk, push, pull, full range of motion, bend, kneel, climb, squat for 8+ hours and lift upward of 50 lbs.
• Ability to adapt to climate, inside and outside
• Must display good verbal and written communication skills

• Must be able to follow policies and procedures and wear required PPE
• Must be able to multi-task while remaining calm under pressure
• Ability to work hours as required by management
