Critical Care Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our ICU team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing, particularly in cardiac care, and will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU, ensuring high-quality nursing practices.
• Manage and monitor patients using ventilators, vasopressors, and other critical care technologies.
• Perform essential procedures, including central line placements, rapid sequence intubation, and chest tube placements.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC documentation system.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices within the ICU setting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid UT RN license at the time of submission.
• A minimum of 2 years of ICU experience is required; will consider 1 year of strong cardiac nursing experience.
• ACLS certification is required.
