Event Cashier - Exposition Park
Location: Exposition Park, Los Angeles, CA
Job Type: Part-time/On-call, Non-exempt (Event-based seasonal schedule)
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)
About the Role

Everpark is hiring Event Cashiers to support parking operations at Exposition Park. Cashiers are the first point of contact for guests and play a critical role in delivering excellent service. You'll be responsible for processing payments using a mobile point-of-sale (POS) device, ensuring accurate cash handling, and providing professional, friendly customer service during events.
Responsibilities

• Process parking transactions quickly and accurately using mobile POS devices (training provided).
• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and approved digital wallet payments in compliance with company procedures.
• Balance and reconcile a cash drawer/shift bank; complete receipts and discrepancy logs with accuracy.
• Deliver professional customer service: greet every guest, answer questions, and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist with event traffic flow: set up cones/signage, direct guests, and follow supervisor instructions during ingress and egress.
• Ensure devices are charged, logged in/out properly, and report connectivity or hardware issues immediately.
• Follow cash-handling and audit procedures to prevent loss and ensure compliance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow all safety and incident-reporting rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support smooth event operations.

Requirements
Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

• 2+ years in a customer service role.
• Experience handling cash, conducting monetary transactions.
• Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience working in outdoor/extreme weather conditions preferred.

Qualifications:

• Ability to learn and confidently use mobile POS devices and applications.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail in handling payments and recording transactions.
• Professionalism and strong customer service skills in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Clear verbal communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing event demands.
• Previous event, hospitality, or retail experience preferred.

Physical Demands & Scheduling Requirements:

• Flexible event-based schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays (e.g. USC games, BMO Stadium events, museum events)
• Ability to lift, push and pull at least approximately 25 - 30 pounds (e.g. signs, cones, equipment).
• Able to work outside in varying weather conditions (rain, snow, wind, heat, etc.).
• Able to continuously stand for extended periods of time (3-6 hours) and walk between cashier posts.

Pay Status:

• Hourly Pay: $19.00-$20.00 DOE
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, overtime-eligible
