Details Emergency Department setting within a Level I and Level II Trauma Center Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) 36 or 48 hours per week Weekend shifts required with scheduling based on staffing needs Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays Time off cannot be approved around Labor Day Floating required within scope of practice as needed Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active VA or compact RN license required (pending license accepted, must be in hand by the Wednesday before start) Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (TNCC may be pending but required before start) Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required At least 1 year of Level I trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience required Pediatric ER experience required Epic EMR experience required BSN preferred Two professional references required Nursys license verification required Additional Information Provide emergency and trauma care within a Level I/II Trauma Center Perform patient triage as part of daily responsibilities Maximum of 40 hours of RTO per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration Any vacation time between sign date and start date must be disclosed in advance Specialty-specific orientation modules required, completed during orientation Previous UVA Health permanent staff or travelers must have 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning External travelers may not exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility Travelers who reach 365 total assignment days are not eligible to return, regardless of time away First-time travelers will be considered for this position American Traveler Job ID P-748043.
