Assistant Claims Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Medical Claims Specialist to join the World Trade Center Health and Wellness Program (Department of Medicine) on a temporary basis until September 28th! This is a great opportunity to apply your coding coursework or early administrative skills within a supportive team environment.

salary: $18 - $18.25 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Claims Processing: Review, process, and reconcile medical claims specifically for the World Trade Center Health Program accurately and efficiently.

• Medical Coding & Billing: Utilize working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines to verify and process incoming claims and billing requests.

• Documentation & Data Entry: Maintain accurate electronic records and medical billing documentation using dedicated computer systems.

• Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a large administrative/clerical team to support ongoing department operations and transition needs.
