Our customer's experience is our number one priority and it is where we focus the majority of early training - ensuring we are meeting our customer's needs while creating a wonderful and welcoming environment. As a Plant Crew member, you'll be responsible for the entire customer experience, from greeting customers at the door to re-stocking shelves during a shift to leading people through a successful DIY Terrarium workshop. The ideal candidate for this role will be hard-working, a team player, creative, have a passion for assisting customers, and willing to learn.This role reports to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.This position is hourly and is paid weekly.Up to 30 hours per weekYou must be available on weekends and some weekdays and nightsAvailable to work during retail black out periods and holidays like Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, etc.Ensures every guest has the full Planthouse experienceAdheres to all standard operating procedures and policiesDrives sales through the engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledgeDirects customers to either our bar, retail area, or DIY terrarium building sectionsResponsible for cash handling proceduresResponsible for maintaining assigned areaStages merchandisePerforms store maintenance including, but not limited to, taking out the garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, maintaining stock roomAssists with inventory, including receiving and labeling merchandiseEducate customers on plant care and home decor optionsTeach terrarium workshopsPlants and shelf maintenance (Shelf reset)Ability to work long hours while on your feetAbility to maintain composure under pressureAbility to multitaskThis position is primarily indoors with office and retail environment, which may require the use of computers, registers, cash handling, etc. Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required. Must be able to work arounds plants, including dust and allergens.
