Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years of experience in obstetrics. This position involves providing patient care on the obstetric floor, as well as couplet care and care for hysterectomy patients. Candidates with travel experience are preferred due to the current skill mix in the unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum care to patients.
• Administer couplet care effectively for mothers and their newborns.
• Deliver care for patients undergoing hysterectomy, utilizing basic medical-surgical skills.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care are met.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care plans and discharge processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN for fetal monitoring.
• Preferred: STABLE certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Shift Information

This position requires working three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with flexibility on time-off requests. Travelers will be expected to work at least one holiday during their contract term.

Facility Information

The unit includes 4 labor beds, 4 triage beds, and 13 obstetric beds, offering a supportive environment for both staff and patients.

Scrubs will be provided for all nursing staff. This position may be ideal for those seeking to broaden their experience in a vibrant obstetric care setting.
