Job Details – Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist (Angola, IN)

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $10,989 - $12,210 (competitive locum tenens anesthesia pay)
• Location: Angola, IN 46703-2015 (Northeast Indiana, Steuben County)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Shifts Per Week: 5
• Call Schedule: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM (30-minute response time during scheduled call)
• Start Dates: June 8; July 14–16; January 4 onward (ongoing Monday coverage for Podiatry)
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days (temporary privileges available with clear background and malpractice history)
• EMR: EPIC (EPIC EMR experience preferred)
• Team Model: 1 MD / 2 CRNAs (collaborative anesthesia team)
• Operating Rooms: 3
• Annual Deliveries: ~250 (C-sections performed in main OR; VBACs supported)

Job Requirements – Anesthesiologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as an anesthesiologist (locum tenens and anesthesia jobs experience valued)
• Active, unrestricted medical license (Indiana or ability to obtain temporary privileges)
• AHA-issued certifications required (BLS, ACLS as applicable)
• Proof of case logs demonstrating epidurals, spinals, and regional nerve blocks (strong epidural/spinal/block case logs preferred)
• Experience with OB anesthesia (VBACs) and routine C-sections preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred

Responsibilities – Clinical and Perioperative Duties

• Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care across a diverse case mix: general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, podiatry, ENT, and obstetrics (including VBACs)
• Perform neuraxial and regional anesthesia techniques: spinals, epidurals, and peripheral nerve blocks
• Collaborate closely with MDs, CRNAs, perioperative nursing, and obstetric teams as part of a cohesive anesthesia team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC EMR for all perioperative and obstetric cases
• Respond to call within 30 minutes during scheduled call periods
