Speech Language Pathologist- Eval Only-School based

Lighthouse Therapy LLC is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to complete speech and language evaluations for preschool and school-age children in the school setting.

This is an evaluation-only position with no ongoing therapy caseload, making it a great fit for an SLP who enjoys assessment, eligibility determination, and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and reevaluations for preschool and school-age students
• Select, administer, score, and interpret standardized assessments
• Evaluate articulation/phonology, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic/social language as appropriate
• Complete preschool and school-age evaluations in accordance with Tennessee special education requirements
• Review educational, developmental, and therapy records
• Gather parent and teacher input and complete observations as needed
• Write clear, comprehensive evaluation reports
• Participate in eligibility and evaluation meetings as needed
• Collaborate with school teams regarding eligibility and educational impact
• Complete evaluations and documentation within required timelines

This position does not require carrying a therapy caseload.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Tennessee Speech-Language Pathologist license
• Current Tennessee Professional School Service Personnel License with the appropriate Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and report-writing skills
• Ability to independently manage evaluation timelines and documentation

Preferred Experience

• School-based speech-language evaluations
• Preschool assessment
• Tennessee special education eligibility criteria and procedures
• Differential diagnosis of speech and language disorders

Schedule

This position offers flexibility and is specifically designed for an SLP interested in evaluation and assessment work without a traditional treatment caseload. Evaluation volume and scheduling may vary based on school needs.
