Retail Sales Associate / Customer Service Representative

The UPS Store in Callaway is looking for a friendly, dependable, motivated Retail Sales Associate / Customer Service Representative to join our team!

Our associates do much more than simply ship packages—we help customers with shipping, packing, printing, copying, business services, returns, and a wide variety of everyday needs.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent customer service , pays attention to detail, and is willing to learn all aspects of our business.

What You'll Do

Customer Service

• Greet every customer with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Listen carefully to customers and determine the best solution for their needs.
• Provide knowledgeable assistance in person and over the phone.
• Handle customer questions and concerns professionally.
• Build positive relationships with regular customers and local businesses.
• Provide a consistently positive customer experience from beginning to end.

Shipping & Packing

• Process domestic and international shipments accurately.
• Weigh and measure packages and enter shipment information correctly.
• Prepare shipping labels and documentation.
• Pack a wide variety of items safely and professionally.
• Recommend appropriate packaging materials and shipping services.
• Process package drop-offs, returns, and other shipping-related transactions.

Printing & Business Services

• Assist customers with copying, printing, scanning, faxing, laminating, binding, and finishing services.
• Help customers select appropriate paper, sizes, quantities, and finishing options.
• Assist customers with digital files and basic document preparation.
• Operate printers, copiers, scanners, laminators, binding equipment, and other store technology.
• Review completed print jobs for accuracy and quality.
• Learn our printing products and services and recommend solutions based on customer needs.

Sales & Store Operations

• Explain products and services clearly and accurately.
• Identify opportunities to recommend additional products or services that genuinely benefit the customer.
• Operate our point-of-sale system and process cash, credit card, and other transactions accurately.
• Receive and organize packages and other merchandise.
• Stock supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Keep the store clean, organized, professional, and welcoming.
• Follow all store policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Work cooperatively with other team members to keep the store running smoothly.
• Perform other duties as needed to support daily store operations.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to learn new computer programs, equipment, and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good spelling, reading, and basic math skills.
• Ability to stand and move around the store for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift and move packages and supplies as required.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance are important.
