Inside Sales Representative

The responsibility of the Inside Sales Representative is to grow revenue by managing inbound and outbound sales activity from within the office, focusing on both existing account growth and new customer acquisition. The ISR's goal is to meet sales targets, respond quickly to customer inquiries, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Relationship Management
   1. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients over phone, email, and chat
   2. Be proactive in addressing the needs and concerns of clients
   3. Foster long-term partnerships and repeat business
2. Sales Strategy & Execution
   1. Execute outbound calling and email campaigns to generate new business
   2. Set and achieve sales goals, coordinating with the Sales Manager/Director
   3. Identify new business opportunities within assigned accounts or lead lists
3. Market & Product Knowledge
   1. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product catalog, pricing, and availability
   2. Identify competitors and gather competitive information on pricing and products
   3. Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate products/solutions
   4. Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities with existing customers
4. Reporting & Forecasting
   1. Monitor personal and team sales activity/reports and provide feedback to management
   2. Forecast sales performance for assigned accounts or lead pipeline
   3. Identify areas for improvement in process or performance
5. Problem Solving
   1. Address customer issues (orders, shipping, billing, returns) timely
   2. Find solutions to problems, no matter how complex, escalating when necessary
6. Negotiation
   1. Identify customer needs and how our products solve their issues
   2. Negotiate pricing and terms within approved guidelines
   3. Identify customer budget and find mutually beneficial price points
7. Account Planning
   1. Develop and manage account plans for assigned customers
   2. Actively prospect and call on potential customers
   3. Nurture and convert inbound leads quickly

Minimum Requirements:

1. Ability to work primarily from an office/desk-based environment, handling high call/email volume
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills - must enjoy speaking with people and building rapport over the phone
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products, and experience with CRM software
4. Excellent time management and organizational skills
5. Ability to multitask across phone, email, and order systems simultaneously
