Maintenance Mechanic (Conveyors & Cranes) - DAY SHIFT & NIGHT SHIFT AVAILABLE

Location: Troy, AL (On-site at aerospace manufacturing facility)

Pay: $25–$34/hour

Schedule:

Day Shift: Monday-Thursday 6am-430pm

Night Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Weekend Night Shift: Thursday–Sunday or Friday–Monday, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Training: First shift (Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM) for the first 4–6 weeks

Assignment Type: 6-month contract-to-hire

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support repair, maintenance, and installation of crane and conveyor systems, along with a variety of mechanical projects within an industrial manufacturing environment. This role requires working in dynamic conditions both indoors and outdoors while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, and align industrial equipment, including overhead cranes and conveyor systems
• Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems
• Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Support multiple projects simultaneously and meet production timelines
• Collaborate with project teams, supervisors, and other trades
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
• Work at heights and in varying weather conditions as needed
• Travel occasionally to support projects at different locations

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar mechanical/industrial maintenance role
• Experience working with crane and conveyor systems preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including heights and outdoor conditions
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Preferred:

• Experience with PLC systems, especially Allen-Bradley (may qualify for higher pay)

Work Environment:

Industrial setting within a manufacturing facility. Primarily indoors, but candidates must be comfortable working outdoors and at heights as required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, AL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
