Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to an adult and geriatric oncology patient population across the full continuum, from diagnosis through end-of-life care
• Manage hematology diagnoses, DNR/comfort care patients, and oncologic emergencies
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy precautions, morphine drips, dilaudid drips, CADD pumps, and PCA pumps
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication using Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR protocols
• Float within the facility and to a nearby campus location as needed
• Work assigned major holidays per facility policy; holiday scheduling is determined by the number of major holidays falling within the assignment period

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Proficiency in Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR
• All requested time off (maximum 7 days per contract) must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests will be accepted post-offer or on-site, including during orientation week
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with end-of-life care, comfort care, and DNR patient management
• Familiarity with oncologic emergency response and hematology diagnoses
• Prior travel nursing experience in an oncology or hematology setting
