Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia.

**Job Description:**
Unit Focus
These units are high-acuity, heavily cardiac-focused PCU units.
Travelers should have a strong cardiac background.
EPIC experience is required.

Required Competencies
Must be able to independently interpret cardiac rhythms and pass a Dysrhythmia Exam:
o No tech assistance permitted.
o Must pass on the first attempt (no remediation opportunities).
o Exam is paper based, proctored, and requires the use of calipers.
o Please review the attached Telemetry Study Guides.

Patient Ratios & Acuity
Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 to 1:5
Expect:
o High patient acuity
o Frequent admissions/discharges
o Significant procedural volume

Common Cardiac Drips
Experience with the following drips is required:
Insulin
Milrinone
Dobutamine
Amiodarone
Heparin
Lasix
Nitroglycerin (Nitro)

Equipment & Specialty Experience
No ventilator patients
Heart transplant experience preferred (training available if needed)
LVAD experience preferred (training available if needed)
Must have a rating of "4" on all cardiac skills on the skills checklist
Must have chest tube experience

Required Experience
Minimum 18 months of recent cardiac unit experience
Must have experience with:
o Cardiac drips listed above
o Telemetry interpretation
o Successfully passing a telemetry exam
