Maintenance Mechanic/Boiler Operator - OLF CharterCARE Our Lady of Fatima Hospital · 8460-Plant Maintenance North Providence , RI Operatives Full Time regular (64-80 hrs) , 1 , 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Summary: Performs a variety of duties to maintain smooth operation of Hospital systems. Maintains, repairs, inspects and installs steam plant/refrigeration plant machinery and associated equipment. Apprentice level experience required in at least one of the following categories: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, pipefitting or HVAC. Employee will work under the direction of the Engineering Site Manager, or his designee. Assignments will be given daily. Snow removal may be required. Education: High School diploma or GED required. Licensure: Must obtain a City of Providence Boiler Operator’s License. Experience: Three to five years’ experience in boiler operator field and a Minimum of 3 years’ experience at apprentice level in one or more trades. Must be able to maintain, repair, inspects and installs steam plant/refrigeration plant machinery and associated equipment, and perform at apprentice level in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, pipefitting, electrical or HVAC. Ability to utilize sound interpersonal skills when interacting and taking into consideration cultural background, linguistic skills and age of customers.
