Cuidado Seccional II FTR Trabajo manual Hace 11 días ID de petición: 1565 Intervalo salarial: $17.00 Para $17.00 Por hora Resumen del Puesto Cuidado Seccional II es responsable del cuidado y mantenimiento de las plantas dentro de las áreas asignadas del patio de producción. Este puesto apoya la salud de las plantas y la producción manteniendo la calidad de las plantas, monitoreando las condiciones de riego y ayudando con la organización y consolidación del material vegetal. Los empleados en este puesto trabajan en coordinación con la Gerencia de Yarda y el personal de Inventario para asegurar que los problemas de salud de las plantas se identifiquen a tiempo y que el material vegetal se mantenga organizado y en buenas condiciones. Funciones Esenciales Quitar maleza, remover chupones y consolidar plantas dentro de las áreas asignadas. Apoyar en la capacitación y desarrollo de empleados de Nivel I dentro del departamento, demostrando técnicas correctas de trabajo y ayudando con la orientación de tareas cuando sea necesario. Monitorear las condiciones de riego y asegurar que las plantas reciban la cantidad adecuada de agua sin exceso ni falta de riego. Identificar problemas de salud de las plantas y reportarlos a la Gerencia de Yarda. Comunicarse con el personal de Inventario al mover o consolidar plantas y reportar material vegetal dañado o que deba desecharse. Comunicarse con el Yard Manager sobre tareas diarias y semanales. Usar escaleras de manera segura entre 8 y 14 pies de altura. Subir escaleras para instalar estacas y amarrar árboles cuando sea necesario. Mantener las áreas del vivero limpias, organizadas y seguras para empleados, clientes y proveedores. Manejar el material vegetal con cuidado y asegurarse de que las plantas estén regadas y colocadas en las áreas correspondientes. Responsabilidades Adicionales Ayudar a otros departamentos del vivero cuando sea necesario. Apoyar las operaciones generales del vivero y el cuidado de las plantas. Las responsabilidades pueden cambiar en cualquier momento según la discreción de la gerencia. Experiencia y Otros Requisitos Requerido Capacidad para identificar plantas y reconocer problemas de salud en las plantas. Capacidad para usar escaleras de manera segura y trabajar en alturas cuando sea necesario. Capacidad para seguir prácticas de riego y observar las necesidades de agua de las plantas. Capacidad para comunicarse eficazmente con supervisores y personal de inventario. Experiencia previa trabajando en un vivero, agricultura o en la industria del paisajismo. Experiencia con mantenimiento de plantas, monitoreo de salud de plantas o apoyo en riego. Ambiente de Trabajo y Requisitos Físicos Este puesto se realiza principalmente al aire libre en áreas activas de producción del vivero. Las condiciones de trabajo incluyen diferentes condiciones del clima, superficies de terreno irregulares y exposición a polvo, material vegetal, humedad y alérgenos de temporada. Se debe usar el equipo de protección personal (PPE) requerido según corresponda. Los requisitos físicos incluyen: Caminar extensamente dentro del vivero durante la jornada laboral. Movimientos frecuentes como agacharse, doblarse, girar el cuerpo y ponerse en cuclillas. Subir escaleras entre 8 y 14 pies de altura. Trabajar sobre superficies irregulares como tierra, grava, material vegetal y áreas con riego. Uso de manos y dedos para agarrar y manejar material vegetal. Levantar hasta 75 libras de forma individual (aproximadamente 80% del tiempo). Participar en levantamientos en equipo de hasta 100 libras (aproximadamente 10% del tiempo) cuando sea necesario. Se pueden realizar adaptaciones razonables para permitir que las personas con discapacidades desempeñen las funciones esenciales de este puesto.
