Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant Location: Mapplewood, Minnesota, United States Contract Details: Full-time Client: SNF Facility Salary: Up to $33 per hour We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join a team at a skilled nursing facility in Mapplewood, Minnesota. As a full-time employee, you will have the opportunity to provide quality care to our patients and make a positive impact on their lives. Responsibilities: Assist the physical therapist in evaluating and treating patients with a variety of conditions, including injuries, disabilities, and illnesses Help patients perform therapeutic exercises and activities to improve their strength, mobility, and range of motion Monitor and document patients' progress and report any changes to the physical therapist Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercise and activities to continue their progress at home Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient Maintain a clean and organized treatment area and ensure all equipment is in good working condition Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff Qualifications: Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution Current state license or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Minnesota Minimum of 1 year experience in a skilled nursing facility or other healthcare setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Basic knowledge of medical terminology and documentation procedures Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and perform physical tasks as needed We offer a competitive salary of up to $33 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.
