Training Manager

Work for a luxury Five-Star Five-Diamond property in the heart of Michigan Avenue, Chicago Learn and grow within a diverse multi-outlet property Exceptional health benefits package and 401(k) with company match Key Accountabilities: Management of in-house training and development function Act as an in-house consultant to identify training needs with department heads for all levels based on current industry trends, business objectives, operating philosophy of the hotel, and workforce requirements Develop annual Training Plan and schedule training activities according to business needs and operational priorities Formulate and administer training and development policies and procedures, including orientation of new hires, mandatory training for specific roles, training required for promotion and career development, external training, and training library resources Coordinate, facilitate, and track mandatory HSH corporate and legal compliance training programs, including harassment prevention, bystander intervention, and human trafficking awareness training, ensuring timely completion and accurate recordkeeping Develop and facilitate departmental trainers to deliver training programs within their respective areas Design and facilitate training programs through instructor-led, online, and blended learning solutions Oversee annual performance appraisal processes for line and management employees Maintain and enhance the Learning Management System and training records Administer learning and development programs launched by the Corporate Office This Job Description is not an all-inclusive list of job tasks but a guide, and tasks may be added or removed by the immediate supervisor according to changes within the work environment General Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years of Learning & Development experience, preferably within a luxury hospitality environment Experience in training facilitation, leadership development, and employee development programs Experience partnering with department leaders to identify training and performance improvement needs Experience administering and tracking compliance training programs Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and digital learning platforms Strong presentation, facilitation, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization Benefits We Offer: 10 vacation days per year 9 paid holiday days per year 5 Chicago Paid Sick Leave days per year 5 Chicago Paid Leave days per year Complimentary employee meals Discounted parking Discounted and complimentary room nights at The Peninsula Hotels 50% discount on spa services 25% discount on spa retail 80% company-paid medical, dental and vision coverage Complimentary life insurance Complimentary long-term disability Retirement plan with 5% company match We are delighted to receive your resume for further consideration.
