Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• Discipline: RN
• Duration: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours, days
• Employment Type: Travel

Schedule:
• Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide care for Progressive Care and Medical-Surgical patients
• Manage tracheostomy patients and perform trach care
• Monitor patients receiving cardiac drips
• Care for chest tubes and stable ventilated patients
• Perform wound care and dressing changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes

Required Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Experience working with tracheostomy patients required
• Strong clinical skills in step-down/progressive care settings

Preferred Experience:
• Cerner EMR experience
• Previous Progressive Care Unit experience

Required Certifications:
• BLS
• ACLS

Additional Details:
• Location: Asheville, NC
• Floating required to other Med-Surg and Progressive Care units
• Equipment used includes lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable ventilators, and trachs
• Navy Blue Scrubs Required
• Contract Length: 91 Weeks
• Position Type: Contractor Replacement
