School-Based Occupational Therapist

Bring your expertise in school-based occupational therapy to an engaging contract opportunity supporting students across both Peoria and Bloomington areas. This dynamic position is perfect for an OT seeking variety and the ability to make a real difference in multiple educational settings.

The role spans 1 day each week in Peoria, working exclusively with students in Emotional Disabilities (ED) programs. In Bloomington, you'll work three or more days weekly, collaborating with teams supporting students in a diverse range of programs including Emotional Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders (Aut), and Life Skills. Your commitment to student success will have a lasting impact on their educational journey and personal growth.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current and valid OT licensure for the state of Illinois (or eligibility)
• Prior experience or strong interest in school-based OT service delivery
• Background working with students with Emotional Disabilities, Autism, and Life Skills needs preferred
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Ability to adapt services across multiple sites and program types

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress
• Contribute to IEP development, meetings, and progress monitoring
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per school and district guidelines
• Be flexible and responsive to changing needs in both Peoria and Bloomington programs
