SEWING MACHINE OPERATOR

The SewistThe Sewist is responsible for producing high-quality custom drapery, AV-Drop skins, and other fabric products. This role requires strong sewing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate industrial sewing equipment, including straight stitch and overlock.Measure, cut, sew, and finish fabric products according to work orders and specifications.Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship.Follow instructions and drawings.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Assist with fabric handling, material organization, and inventory as needed.Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.Support team members and assist with other fabrication tasks as assigned.Benefits401k Safe Harbor with Employer 5% matchMedical, dental, vision, and life/disability offeringsPTO and Holiday PayEligible for annual increases based on performanceOpportunities for professional growthQualifications2+ years of sewing experience preferred.Experience with industrial sewing machines.Ability to accurately read a tape measure and follow specifications.Strong attention to detail and quality.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.Willingness to work overtime when required.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.Ability to stand, bend, and sit for extended periods.Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to sewing equipment and textiles.Join a team that creates custom drapery, stage soft goods, and event solutions for some of the nation's largest events, venues, and productions.
