Essential Job Functions Answers calls for tech support; answers the IT emergency line and calls or emails for support. Implements IT projects for departments within the City. Installs and upgrades software for users and vendors; performs upkeep, management, and administration of IT systems. Gathers information and data for various IT projects to increase user efficiency; creates new and updated workplace tools. Presents IT information and guidance that could lead to actionable events or purchases. Provides information and guidance on how to effectively complete departmental tasks from a technological perspective. Enforces IT policies and procedures. You will provide technical support to all users and systems within the City of Pearland. Education, Certifications, And Experience Requires an Associate's Degree or specialized courses/training equivalent to the satisfactory completion of two years of college in information technology or a closely related field. Requires two years of information technology support or closely related experience.
