To learn more about Pearce, visit Your Impact The Experienced Travel Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician in the PEARCE Renewables Energy Storage Systems (ESS) division performs operations and maintenance (O&M) and related physical work on commercial and industrial solar energy projects located throughout the United States. This is a travel-intensive role; up to 100% travel across the United States. Preferred candidates should reside in California, Arizona, or Texas. Core Responsibilities Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment. Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person under proper LOTO conditions. Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs). Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner. Act as a team member to support site work, which could include supervising field work onsite with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Note: Core duties may evolve over time based on business and client needs. Core Experience and Qualifications 2+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components. 2+ years of Renewable energy experience preferred. Commitment to safety and attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions. Post-secondary education preferred. Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to meet EHS internal and external requirements. Safety and compliance: Candidates must comply with OSHA Standards. Travel and Location : California, Texas, or Arizona are preferred locations. Candidates must have a valid driver's license for at least one year. This role may involve rotating shifts; 100% travel is required. Ability to work in various climates and physical conditions is expected. Compensation and Benefits Compensation: $25.00-$40.00 hourly/DOE and Per Diem. Actual compensation is influenced by skill, experience, and location.
