JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Neonatologist Job Type: Permanent Location: Kansas City, MO Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Work Schedule: TBD Call Type: Shared Call
PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Premature & critically ill newborns Patient Volume: 30 daily Admissions: 450 (annual; NICU) Rounding included: Yes Phone Consults: As Needed Case Mix: High-acuity NICU & advanced neonatal therapies
FACILITY INFORMATION No of Beds: 49-bed Level III-B NICU - 15-bed Level III-A NICU, growing Level II NICU, and Well-Baby Units Support Staff: BC Neonatologists and 24/7 NNPs support Telehealth-supported neonatal coverage model
REQUIRED PROCEDURES/DUTIES Inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) High-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) High-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV) Therapeutic hypothermia Management of ELGAN infants including 22-week gestation neonates
JOB REQUIREMENTS Active MO License BC/BE DEA Clean Record (highly preferred) Must have Neonatology experience
