Full Time – Napoleon, OH, US Requisition ID: 1215 (Posted 6 days ago) Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 Annually Procurement Specialist Main Purpose of the Job The Procurement Specialist’s primary responsibility is to support the purchasing process by reviewing purchase order (PO) requisitions for compliance with Pandrol processes, issuing purchase orders within authority limits, maintaining tooling/parts/other items inventory and location accuracy, performing adjustments and cycle counts as required, and completing other duties as assigned. The Procurement Specialist delivers on day‑to‑day commitments to Pandrol’s customers, company, and people. Key Areas of Activity and Responsibility Perform various purchasing activities, including reviewing PO requisitions for compliance and issuing POs within Pandrol’s purchasing platform. Become knowledgeable in all areas of purchasing items and suppliers within scope and authority. Become proficient in ERP systems and their use. Ensure purchasing of items is consistent with min/max guidelines to ensure availability. Perform inventories and cycle counts per customer/management request to ensure accuracy of product and/or location codes. Identify, analyze, and address gaps in inventory process; assess and improve flow of supplies and ensure inventory security integrity. Ensure all documentation related to inventory flow is complete, accurate, and filed correctly, including tracking all warranties. Track part warranty, rebuilt components, and tools to be sharpened. Perform audits as required to assure accuracy and determine root causes for inaccuracies, providing feedback to management regarding errors. Collect, research, and process damaged product – submit forms for system input. Perform post‑production reconciliations as required. Ensure compliance with corporate quality manual. Collaborate with Operations team to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory planning. Liaise with counterparts in other functional areas such as Sales, Product Management, and Warehouse personnel to ensure alignment of activities and objectives. Create purchase orders and reconcile them with supply requests and orders. Work closely with the team to understand details of procurement requirements. Manage and monitor open orders and delivery dates. Other related and ancillary duties as may be assigned or required.
