About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred; will consider candidates with 1 year on a case-by-case basis License: Pending license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must be able to pass arrhythmia and medication test on the first day. Attendance policy applied. Description: This position is for a Resource Pool need. The RN will be allocated to one campus but may float to other locations if needed. The RN will know ahead of time where they are scheduled. One of the following options is required: 2 on-call shifts or 2 additional shifts every 6 weeks. Ratios are 1:6. Weekends are required as needed. The RN should have experience in telemetry and management of dysrhythmias. Successful candidates will work with a centralized telemetry monitoring system. Common patient diagnoses include sepsis, dementia, post-operative care, orthopedic issues, chest pain, and rule out strokes. Candidates must complete a cardiac dysrhythmia test and a moderate sedation test upon orientation. Compliance documents are due five business days before the scheduled start. Regular attendance is expected, with a maximum of two missed shifts in a 13-week contract. Candidates should be prepared for possible float assignments within the facility. All requested time off must be included in the initial submission and cannot be modified later. Recent experience with a specific electronic charting system is preferred but not required.
