Ryder is Now Hiring Semi-Local CDL-A Truck Drivers in Detroit, MITop Drivers Earn $2,000+ per Week - Average $1,850 per Week$4,000 Sign-On Bonus - $2,000 Retention Bonus - $4,500 Safety Bonus

Tanker Required at Time of Interview

Pay, Home Time & More:

• Average $1,850 per week, with top drivers earning $2,000+ per week
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.62 per mile with 1,800 miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $50 per stop with 5 stops per week
• Sign-on bonus: $4,000, paid half at 30 days, half at 90 days
• Retention Bonus: Pays you $2,000 at 6 months
• Safety Bonus: Pays you $1,500 at 3 months, $1,500 at 6 months, and $1,500 at 9 months
• Route: Local Home Daily and Regional with up to 3 nights out per week
• 80 hours PTO your first year, starting day 1 (use it or get paid for it)
• Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided

Schedule, Freight & Equipment:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Start time: 3:00 AM - 8:00 AM
• Deliver solo to: OH, MI, IN, PA, WV, MS, AL, GA, IL, TN, AR, SC, NC, MN, & Upstate NY
• Tractor Type: Straight Tanker/Sleeper Cab
• Trailer Type: Liquid Tanker Trailer 28' & 48'
• Freight: Touch – Driver will connect hoses and pressurize trailer w/ assistance
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Endorsements: Tanker at time of interview
• 1 Year of tanker experience required; will consider close to a year of experience
• Must have PASSPORT or ENHANCED DL to possibly enter Canada
• FAST Pass preferred

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL
• 9 months of experience within the past 3 years
• Must have Tanker endorsements at time of interview
• Ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred
• Hazmat experience is preferred
• 6 months of tanker experience is required
• 1+ years of experience is strongly preferred
• Must have a valid passport or enhanced license to drive into Canada
• FAST card preferred
• Assistance can be offered to help you obtain
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
