Suncrest Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at our orthopedic outpatient facility located in the scenic area of Jarbidge, Nevada. In this pivotal role, you will work closely under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists, delivering high-quality therapeutic care to enhance patient recovery and rehabilitation journeys.

Work Environment

This full-time position requires the successful candidate to work onsite at our established facility in Jarbidge. Your schedule will primarily be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans by conducting therapeutic exercises and guiding patients through their rehabilitation programs under the oversight of licensed Physical Therapists.
  • Assist patients with manual therapy techniques and mobility training, ensuring they are safe and comfortable throughout the process.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, noting any changes in condition and communicating updates to the supervising Physical Therapist as necessary.
  • Educate patients on effective exercise techniques and strategic injury prevention methods to help them maintain their health outside of therapy sessions.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and different heat/cold therapy treatments, to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Maintain comprehensive and timely records in compliance with clinic standards and healthcare regulations, ensuring all patient documentation is accurate.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to provide cohesive care, ensuring that each patient's journey is well-coordinated and effective.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic focuses on individuals seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic issues, which may include post-operative recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will engage with a diverse clientele seeking compassionate care and effective treatment strategies tailored to their conditions.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Hold a valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Nevada.
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required, with experience from an accredited PTA program highly desirable.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of orthopedic therapy techniques and patient care best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with colleagues.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred, although new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a significant plus but not mandatory.
