Long-Term Substitute School Nurse

The Pleasant Hill School District is currently seeking applicants for the position of long-term substitute school nurse for Pleasant Hill Middle School from August 25, 2026 to November 20, 2026. Purpose: The Pleasant Hill R-III School District is seeking an individual with RN or LPN license to serve as a long-term substitute. Qualifications: Certification as an LPN or RN Compensation: Starting rate is $21.40/hour for LPN and $23.47/hour for RN, with consideration given based upon experience Essential duties and responsibilities: Promotes and protects the optimal health status of school-age children Provides health assessments Obtains a health history and keeps track of students' vaccination records Screens and evaluates findings of deficits in vision, hearing, growth, etc. Develops and implements a student health plan when needed Utilizes existing health resources to provide appropriate care of students Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases) Works collaboratively with other nurses in the district Dispenses students' prescribed medications Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene Tracks visits to health room and documents all visits Other duties as needed to meet needs of students in building Applicants should: Complete an application through Frontline found on the district website.
