Network Support Technician

Mandatory: Handling low complexity incidents and Service requests, including Industrial network devices. Perform basic troubleshooting like ping, DNS lookup, and trace route on Network Devices. Perform visual checks for hardware failure lights or console error messages, power status and hardware labels wherever. Patching cable installation and troubleshooting. Installing power leads. Updating knowledge base. Escorting third party vendors wherever contractor is supplying support. Conducting walkthroughs, floor sweeping and physical verification of connectivity. Attending Safety training and report incidents. Console into network devices, including routers, switches, gateways, etc. Identify a switch port location. Identify WAP connectivity status. Basic Copper Cable troubleshooting. Install, remove, or swap equipment. Effectively manage work queue. Adhere to Company change management and BCP/DR Procedures. Medium complexity Incidents and Service requests. Perform MACD (move, add, change, delete) activities for end user LAN and voice devices. Provide daily report of activities. Desirable: Restarting / rebooting equipment (including Industrial Assets like Radios, VSAT, FO, LTEs). Basic Fiber Optic Troubleshooting. Install Industrial devices like Radios, Microwave, VSAT, etc.
