Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter- 1 FT or 2 PT

Description Human Resources Generalist, Full‑time or Part‑time, typically M‑F 8:00‑5:00, may occasionally need to work evening and weekend hours. Salaried, Exempt; Non‑Union. Position Summary The Human Resource Generalist will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Requirements Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Assistant or Administrative Assistant role required. SHRM certification preferred. Job Knowledge: Solid understanding/experience with human resources and payroll processes, benefit & compensation administration, recruitment & onboarding processes, handling employee relations issues, organizational planning & development, FMLA/leave administration, employment law compliance (FLSA, ADEA, EEO, ADA, FMLA etc.), performance management, employee development, corrective action, employee investigations, regulatory reporting. Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency‑based, stress, etc.); ability to prioritize tasks and delegate appropriately; ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality; thorough knowledge of employment‑related laws and regulations; high level of interpersonal skills and professionalism to handle sensitive and confidential situations; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; proficiency with or ability to quickly learn to use the organization’s HR Information Systems (HRIS) and talent management systems. Employment Requirements Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check. Successful completion of 500‑hour probationary period. Criminal background check and pre‑employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer. Veteran’s Preference If claiming veteran’s preference, you must submit a DD214, Certificate of Release from Active Duty, which shows dates of service and discharge under honorable conditions. If currently on active‑duty you must submit a certification of expected discharge or release from active‑duty service under honorable conditions not later than 120 days after the date the certification is submitted. Veteran’s preference must be verified prior to appointment. Without this documentation, you will not receive veteran’s preference and your application will be evaluated based on the material(s) submitted. If claiming 10‑point veteran’s preference you must provide the DD214 or certification requirements (see above bullet), plus the proof of entitlement of this. Failure to submit these documents could result in the determination that there is insufficient documentation to support your claim for 10‑point preference.
