Overview Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring an Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room (OR) in Virginia Beach, VA. Qualified candidates may receive a $15,000 sign‑on bonus. The position is full‑time, permanent, and requires weekend days with on‑call requirements discussed during interview. Job Description The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, evaluation, ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health. The RN must possess clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards in specific clinical areas, particularly in the operating room. Education ADN required, BSN or higher preferred. Certification Virginia or compact multi‑state RN license in good standing. BLS within 90 days of hire. Experience RN experience in a hospital setting. Operating Room experience.
