Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room/Circulate Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12 Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required Must-Have: - Ability to provide expert, compassionate, and individualized nursing care for patients and families - Collaboration with providers, staff, and team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes - Ability to oversee daily patient flow for optimal patient care, safety, and satisfaction - Competence in triaging incoming patient requests for services - Delivery of patient education to facilitate care plans and promote wellness - Ability to delegate care appropriately according to Colorado statute - Competent healthcare assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills - Capability to handle high telephone volume of patient requests for medications and assistance - Administration of medications, performance of treatments, and assistance in procedures while adhering to safety guidelines - Coordination of patient care with other practices as needed - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Delivery of excellent service through effective communication and advocacy for patient preferences - Role modeling principles of a Just Culture and organizational values - Compliance with HIPAA regulations Description: This position assumes responsibility and accountability for nursing care for patients and their families. Expert, compassionate, and individualized nursing care for patients and families is expected. Oversight of daily patient flow is required to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction. Demonstration of the ability to triage incoming patient requests for services is necessary.
