Academic Year Tutor-Mentor - UNH TRIO Upward Bound

UNH TRIO Upward Bound Academic Year Tutor-Mentor UNH TRIO Upward Bound, a federally funded college preparatory program, provides services at no cost to 114 students attending public high schools in Farmington, Manchester, Rochester, and Somersworth NH. Participants in the program will be the first in their family to earn a bachelor's degree and/or come from a family with limited financial resources. Our mission is to help students develop the skills necessary to successfully graduate from high school and go on to college in order to earn a two or four-year degree within six-years of high school graduation. Since 1966, UNH Upward Bound has helped several thousand New Hampshire young people earn college degrees and improve their options for successful careers. The Role of an Academic Year Tutor-Mentor Academic Year Tutor-Mentors work with our students during the school year to provide academic and college tutoring on an as-needed basis, help to staff our monthly Saturday Academies providing academic support and designing college & career workshops, and chaperoning college visits and career activities when available. TMs communicate commitment, respect for others, healthy risk-taking, and a strong sense of community. Compensation Pay Range $15.00 - $20.00 /Hour This is an evergreen posting.
