From Wedding Receptions to Birthday Celebrations and Corporate Events. We are looking to hire a talented and reliable Line Cook to join our existing team. The Line Cook is expected to work closely with our Head Chef at our commercial kitchen located in Orange, New Jersey. This is a 1099 employee position that is expected to have availability based on business needs. If you're hard-working and dedicated, Sweet Tee’s Catering LLC is an ideal company for you.Duties/Responsibilities:Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, and mixing ingredientsPerform portion control and minimize waste to keep costs within the forecasted rangeEnsure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at work station and meeting prep times to ensure smooth deliveryEnsure quality and freshness of ingredients and productsMaintain a clean workstation area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelvesComply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standardsPerform additional tasks as assigned by the line supervisor, sous-chef, or executive chefSets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDServSafe Certification1-2 years of experience as a line cookUnderstanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skillsAbility to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detailAbility to read and follow cooking directionsAbility to remain calm in a fast-paced environmentMust be organized and self-motivatedMust be able to stand, bend, stretch, lift, and carry heavy materialsBasic written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work as a team member
