Job Summary We are seeking a customer-focused Personal Banker / Bank Teller for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA. The Personal Banker / Bank Teller will work closely with customers and team members in a collaborative branch setting where consistent performance, trust, and service excellence are valued. Key Responsibilities Open new personal banking accounts accurately and maintain existing customer accounts. Promote and cross-sell banking products and services based on customer needs. Deliver professional, friendly, and accurate customer service in a branch banking environment. Resolve customer questions, account concerns, and service issues in a timely manner. Perform outbound calling to support sales opportunities, customer retention, and product usage. Maintain confidentiality, compliance, and attention to detail in all customer interactions. Compensation and Benefits Compensation: $25 to $27 per hour. Job Type: Direct hire. Schedule: Open availability, including weekends, is required. Required Qualifications and Skills Open and maintain consumer banking accounts while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Support customer relationship growth through needs-based product and service recommendations. Handle customer inquiries, account issues, and service requests with professionalism. Conduct outbound customer calls to generate sales opportunities and strengthen retention. 3 to 5 years of teller, personal banking, retail banking, or consumer banking experience. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build trust and long-term customer relationships. Ability to cross-sell and explain banking products and services in a clear, helpful manner. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and follow-through. Professional communication skills and a team-oriented approach. Ability to work with open availability, including weekends. Preferred Qualifications Experience opening new accounts in a branch banking environment. Prior experience with outbound calling, customer retention, or banking sales goals. Knowledge of consumer banking products, account maintenance, and branch procedures.
