Leading the technical strategy for the end-to-end Ads ML engineer lifecycle, the remote Senior Staff Machine Learning Systems Engineer will enhance feature development, streamline training data processes, and improve offline experimentation workflows while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities Own the technical strategy for the Ads ML engineer lifecycle, focusing on feature development and training data workflows Define architecture and technical standards for ML feature and training-data systems, ensuring quality and observability Mentor staff and senior engineers while driving platform initiatives and improving development velocity Required qualifications 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, distributed systems, or ML platforms 4+ years of experience in building or operating production ML infrastructure or large-scale data pipelines Proven track record of leading multi-team platform initiatives from strategy through adoption Experience with distributed data and compute systems such as Spark, Kafka, or Kubernetes Strong ability to balance urgent customer needs with long-term architectural goals
