Role Description The Multifamily Plumbing Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC. This position oversees plumbing installation and related activities on multifamily construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in line with specifications, building codes, and company standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating and supervising field crews, reviewing plans and MEP drawings, scheduling inspections, managing materials and equipment, and resolving on-site issues in collaboration with project managers and general contractors. The role also involves monitoring quality control, maintaining accurate project documentation, and supporting customer satisfaction through clear communication and professional jobsite conduct. The superintendent is expected to lead by example, promote a safety-first culture, and help drive successful project delivery from rough-in through final punch. Qualifications Demonstrated supervisory skills with experience leading field crews, coordinating schedules, and managing subcontractors. Strong plumbing knowledge and hands‑on experience in multifamily and commercial construction environments. Familiarity with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, reading plans, and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Commitment to customer satisfaction with solid customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly with clients, contractors, and team members. Thorough understanding of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and best practices in construction site safety. Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems on site, and make decisions that keep projects on time and within scope. Experience with project documentation, daily reports, and basic use of construction management or scheduling tools. High school diploma or equivalent; trade school, apprenticeship completion, or journeyman/master plumber license preferred.
