Columbia Gear Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Buyer to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies to support production and business operations. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate all activities related to procurement from intent to purchase through delivery Analyze commodity requirements, including specifications, preferred suppliers, and timelines Solicit, review, and evaluate supplier proposals Identify, research, and qualify potential suppliers Negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery schedules to achieve best value Ensure materials are delivered on time, at the negotiated cost, and meet quality standards Maintain accurate records of orders, amendments, and shipping documentation Coordinate cost-effective distribution methods for materials and supplies Work with suppliers to resolve late deliveries and quality concerns Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr Columbia Gear Corporation
